Safaris

The word 'safari' comes from the Swahili word for 'journey' and was originally used in north east Africa and the Arabian peninsula by traders journeying across the wilderness, searching for customers for their wares.

We like to think that a mobile safari is the purest form of safari, retaining some of the essence of these journeys of old. By moving through the landscape we have a front row seat to the comings and going of nature. Our safaris are not simply a mater of ticking off the big five but fully immersing yourself in the landscapes, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush and waking up excited for a day of exploration.

As a private group our days are flexible, enabling us to take advantage of first light if you wish, to spend the day searching for an elusive bird you've always dreamt of seeing, or to while away an afternoon by a watering hole.

The joy of a mobile safari is that we can visit different areas, following the animals and enjoying the full variety of the region.
